Welcome to my website! 

My name is Erin Willson, and I am the sole proprietor of Agiyah (ah-guee-yah) Solutions. Since my teenage years, I have loved reading. It was not uncommon for me to spend countless hours with my nose in a book. Much to my surprise, I developed a knack for picking out mistakes in the books and materials I read to the point that, years later, my coworkers eventually began asking me to check over their work or consult with me on their writing. It seemed a very natural move to pursue a course in proofreading. In March 2023, I completed the General Proofreading course with Proofread Anywhere. 

The name "Agiyah" must sound unusual, no? Well, this name derives from two places. First, in Portuguese, the word águia means "eagle,"  as it is essential that every proofreader have "eagle eyes" to catch any overlooked mistakes left by the writer and/or editor. Secondly, in modern Hebrew, agiyah (אגיה) translates as "I will proofread." However, my favorite understanding of this word comes from Biblical Hebrew, which means "I will illuminate." This definition encapsulates my heart, intent, and goal--to proofread your hard work in excellence so that it shines even brighter.
